Urban Mitzvah Corps accepts applications throughout the winter months from students who will be entering the 11th or 12th grades in high school. Members of Union for Reform Judaism affiliated congregations receive first priority, though others may apply. All applications must include a non-refundable $50 application fee. In person interviews with applicants are conducted at two sites in New Jersey during March for those who live close by. All other applicants will take part in a personal phone interview during March. You will be notified of these dates in late February. Applicants are notified in early April of the status of their application. Students are never rejected due to financial constraints, and all applicants are encouraged to seek scholarship assistance from their congregations.
FEES AND TEMPLE AFFILIATION The cost will include the complete program, including professional adult supervision, three meals a day, daily transportation to and from worksites, our trip to Washington D.C., weekend excursions, and living accommodations.
